Authorized test site for DTM tests The FDT Joint Interest Group has accepted ifak system as „Authorized Test Site for DTM tests“. The great experience and know-how the company has gained through its strong involvement in FDT can be used for conformance testing of DTMs too. For example ifak system has contributed in the development of the official Test Tool dtmINSPECTOR.
Because of the complexity of the FDT Specification Version 1.2 it is advisable to verify the FDT conformity by an independent test laboratory. Then manufacturer of field devices can trust in the reliability of their automation components which can be securely integrated in any FDT environment.
In the course of the testing the correct functioning of the DTM in all customary frame applications is examined to ensure a smooth engineering process. All types of DTMs like Communication, Device and Gateway DTM are tested. When the conformity of the DTM is proved then the test results are documented and thereafter handled to the FDT JIG Certification Test Centre. In the very last step this organisation will write out the official DTM certification.
