Profibus Diagnostic tool - isPA Bustester The isPA Bustester is an all-purpose measurement and maintenance tool applicable for Profibus-PA field bus systems.
Typical network faults like short circuits, missing or wrong bus terminators which occur during the systems operation can be analyzed and rectified easily with the Bustester.
The search for failures and the maintenance take place while the network is in online mode. Short circuits and the changing of the impedance are localized and measured when the system is offline. For this purpose the Master has to be disconnected from the bus and the Bustester has to be connected to the end of the bus line.
Besides the Life List function which shows the addresses from all bus-connected slaves and their accordant transmission levels the termination measurement tests the correct impedance of the bus terminators.
The battery operated Bustester has a signal propagation delay of up to 10,5 ns/m. [product details]
