FDT Tools
The FDT architecture standardises the fieldbus engineering of different tools and communication protocols. Data and functions for configuration and operation of a field device are bundled in a piece of software called DTM (Device Type Manager). Thus the device know-how is concentrated in one component and helps to realise a plug & play implementation in the field. Device manufacturers have to equip their products with DTMs.

The isDTMcreator Base eases the task of DTM development considerably. Template Library and Wizard support the generation. Compared with a original DTM development, the use of the Toolkit will result in the reduction of time and cost for the development process. [more...]

The software tool isDTMcreator EDD uses an available Electronic Device Description (EDD) for the generation of a DTM. Supported fieldbus systems are Profibus (DP/V1, PA) and HART. In an EDD all important features of a field device have already been described. [more...]
