FDT (Field Device Tool) defines with the so called DTM a standardised interface for automation devices independent from the underlying fieldbus communication. Our isDTMcreator Base lightens the task of DTM creation substantially. An optional Add-on allows the implementation of the DTM to be based on an already existing Electronic Device Description. The device manufacturer is able to reduce the necessary time and the required costs if relying on the toolkit.

OPC (Openness, Productivity, Connectivity) is an established open standard in the automation industry, defining interfaces which support the interoperability between applications and communication systems. The isOPC Toolkit supports manufacturers of automation components in providing an OPC interface for their products via an OPC server. Using the toolkit increases the development cycle of such a server considerably.
