isPro Multiserver

The isPro MultiServer offers a comfortable access to the data of one or even several Profibus networks. All adapters of the isPro Profibus product range (isPro USBx12 and isPro PCIx12) can be used as basic hardware. Depending on the equipped interface the server supports the connection of up to 16 Profibus channels. The server handles the set-up and configuration of the Profibus communication interfaces. It can be iintegrated in standard applications easily offering a convenient communication data interface.

The server supports the protocols Profibus DP (class 1 and 2 master) and Profibus DP/V1 (MSAC2 connection master). With the help of the DP/V1 functionality it is possible even to configurate and parametrate PA devices. Therefore a physical transformation of the IEC 1158-2 conforming transmission to a RS-485 conforming transmission with the support of a DP/PA segment gate is necessary.

All existing Profibus protocols can be used on one segment in the same time. In case there is no SPS available to manage the cyclic data stream in the network, the user has a central access via our isPro MultiServer to DP, DP/V1 and PA devices with cyclic as well with acyclic communication in parallel.

The server structures all the process data in the name space which is given to an OPC client to be read and written. Using symbolic names for the communication items, a simple way to access the devices of the physical network is provided.
