isPro PCIx12

In commissioning systems for the manufacturing and process industries, communication solutions are required for those applications which need several physical channels in parallel in one central PC, e. g. process control, set-up or monitoring. As a multi-protocol interface our PC board isPro PCIx12 offers this desired broad Profibus range with two channels. They can be configured to perform a different protocol version. In the same time an application can run the protocol classes DP (class 1 and 2) and DP/V1 Master (class 2).

The interface is able to serve the physical channels in parallel without limiting the performance of the host PC. Therefore the interface isPro PCIx12 relies on an independent processing unit.

The Profibus stack is placed in a PROM containing all versions of the Profibus protocol the interface is capable to execute. The actual protocol version required by the user is chosen at run-time through the driver software. The board is equipped with a configuration program which allows a comfortable addition of the interface to an existing configuration.

The Profibus interfaces isPro USBx12 and isPro PCIx12 can be integrated in own applications due to the consistent API DLL without any effort. Applications developed for the use with the mobile USB interface can be operated with the stationary PCI board as well.

Both interfaces can be combined with our components for the automation standards FDT and OPC. Optionally a device type manager (isPro FDT) compliant to the current version 1.2 of the FDT specification and an OPC server software (isPro MultiServer) are available.
