Diagnostic Monitor Profibus

The diagnosis monitor recognizes transmission and encryption errors, provides trendviews bars and extensive filter- and trigger options to find the relevant telegrams.

The Livelist function gives an overview about the current state of the network. Typical faults like missing nodes can be localized and repaired easily. The optional sync-module allows to connect two instances of the monitor synchronously. In this way it is possible to monitor Profibus DP- and PA-networks together at the same time.

The active probe heads for Profibus PA and DP allow a connection to all Profibus segments for exact recording of all telegrams. In addition they provide an oscilloscope trigger interface. A dedicated wizard helps to define filter conditions easily. Filters can be used as record filter, trigger filter and display filter.

Included in the delivery of the basic module are the PCMCIA-Monitor Card and the full version of the PC software “Profibus Diagnostic Monitor” and “FOUNDATION Fieldbus Diagnostic Monitor”. The software has to be combined with a fieldbus-specific recorder module for a flexible applicable diagnostic monitor.
