The FDT technology (Field Device Tool) is a current standard in the process and manufacturing automation which has been developed by the ZVEI association and the Profibus User Organisation. FDT is designed to integrate field devices from different manufacturers into any engineering environment and control system in order to speed up the commissioning, maintenance and diagnosis

The software package isPro FDT includes three tools:

CommunicationDTM isPro CommDTM for the interfaces of the isPro product range

The software package isFF FDT includes the tools:

CommunicationDTM isFF CommDTM for the interfaces from National Instruments
Generic DeviceDTM isFF DeviceDTM for any field devices on the bus

The Gateway-DTM isDP/PA Link DTM allows the integration of a Siemens Profibus DP/ PA Link device into any FDT Engineering and Configuration Tool (PACTware, FieldCare or other FDT Containers). So the engineering and commissioning task for a remote Profibus PA device can be handled from one central workplace.

isProfile DTM supports several Profibus PA profiles and offers following functions:

The software package isHRT FDT includes the three tools:

CommunicationDTM is HRT CommDTM for the interface isHRT USB

The software tool isEDDview DTM uses available EDDs for device integration into any FDT environment. The tool is able to interpret an EDD and to provide EDD-based functions for the configuration of devices.

The isSIMOCODE DTM is a DeviceDTM according to the FDT specification for the drive control SIMOCODE-DP of Siemens. This motor protection and control device with communication capability which can be linked to the Profibus DP protects three-phase loads against thermal overloading by means of integrated motor protection functions.
