The new software already supports several Profibus PA profiles e.g. temperature, pressure, level etc. The number of supported profiles can be extended subsequently by running a new installation cycle. The device type manager offers bus configuration, offline parameterisation, online parameterisation, observation and main operation.
All profile parameters are supported. The DTM accesses the devices via DPV1 communication and DPV0 configuration of the devices in engineering systems is supported.
The DTM complies to the FDT specification 1.2.1 (support Profibus DPV1 and DPV0 configuration) and the DTM style guide. It was successfully tested with dtmINSPECTOR2.
A demo version with a 30 day license is available from ifak system GmbH.
