

isSimocode DTM



The isSimocode DTM is a DeviceDTM according to the FDT specification for the drive control Simocode-DP of Siemens. This motor protection and control device with communication capability which can be linked to the Profibus DP protects three-phase loads against thermal overloading by means of integrated motor protection functions. All protection functions can be parameterized to respond by issuing a warning or shutting down the controller.
The DeviceDTM communicates with the drive control device via a CommunicationDTM using Profibus DP (MSAC2 services). The graphical user interface of the DTM allows to:
The dialogs "Offline Parameterization" and "Online Parameterization" offer all functionalities to configure the drive control Simocode-DP. By using the tree view several pages to configure the parameters can be shown, e. g. overload, sensor, motor, function blocks, device outputs, timers, bus Profibus DP, password. When the DeviceDTM is in offline state, all changes and settings are stored locally in the DTM and are not sent to the device. When the DTM later is in an online state, it is possible to transfer these changes to the drive control by performing a parameter download. If the dialog "Online Parameterization" is used in online state, the changes are transferred directly to the device.
In online state the DeviceDTM offers additional dialogs to view messages and diagnosis data and to control Simocode-DP.

- Set and change of device parameters.After the selection of a control function with Simocode-DP, the device has to be parameterized. That means e. g. to select suitable values for CLASS or for the motor set current and to establish device-internal connections. Logical connections between individual device functions can be established.
- Use online functions for control and diagnosis.

- The dialog “Control” can be used to control the feeder. This functionality corresponds to that of an operator control block. A hardware test can be executed.
- The dialog "Display / Diagnostics" displays the operating current as well as many values (parameterizable set current, current in the feeder the last time an overload trip occurred, cooling time, number of starts, operating hours, number of overload trips, counter readings, value of the thermistor).
- In the dialog "Statistics data" the values of operating hours, number of trips, and number of starts are displayed.
- The logical states of the internal inputs (connectors) are displayed in the dialog "Test". Function parameters or measuring points must be assigned for this purpose.
